Day 12: Work & Happy Hour

 This day was the most fun day ever of this trip! :)


I went to Mount Clare House again to take some photos of the interior to give me more ideas of what to put into my CAD program for them.


These photos will help me to find out what I actually need to put in the program to allow visitors to see what the interior will look like.


Mount Clare house is by far the most beautiful mansion I have ever seen in my life!!

I am honoured to volunteer and help Lucy & Krista with what they need from my service!


HAPPY HOUR...

Lucy kindly took my grocery shopping after visiting Mount Clare to stock me up for another week or so...

She also mentioned that the Dames - the ladies who are in love with Mount Clare House (!), always help out if we are stuck with anything. They sounded amazing before I met them!


Then Lucy told me that we were going out for a "Happy Hour" meaning cocktails 🤣 with those fabulous ladies!

I felt more welcomed by those ladies now - Mackey, Lindsay and Carol. Carol even invited me to stay with her at Labor weekend so that I am not left alone when Lucy and Krista are both on Vacation.


Carol offered that I could stay at her house by the beach for at least 4 days - which sounded amazing again!

I look forward to staying with Carol and exploring her part of Baltimore!


Just to let everyone know - my calendar is full over here in Baltimore, I will hardly ever be at my apartment - I'll be going on my mini holidays, almost every weekend!


Must get a selfie with those amazing ladies when we catch up again for cocktails one day!

Travelling DaY

On 11th August, I left the UK for the biggest trip of my life to the USA - this is a huge step in my life because this time I am travelling on my own for two and half months. I know that I had to do this by myself someday and it's here! I arrived at Edinburgh Airport (EDI) at 10:30am, checked my suitcase and said 'See you later' to my amazing parents who made me cry at the airport! Thanks, Mum! (Love you!)😂 I am going to be missing my family so much including my wee baby cocker spaniel! 💕 I won't be returning home till the end of October. Made it back home!

Made It Home!!! I am officially back home with my family, all unpacked - it was like the living room exploded with all of my things. But wanna laugh... my suitcase was full of books instead of bringing clothes home! I was so emotional when I got home as I wanted to be home after a couple of days of being at multiple airports. So lovely to be back in my own bed too! Even had a quiet, shy reaction from my dog as she wasn't sure who I was until I spoke to her again!

Day 5: Finally Settled In!

Had my first night sleeping in my permanent apartment - the apartment is very nice, cosy and clean. First-night sleeping was a little bit scary as I'd come out of a home where I usually stay with someone - This time I was so scared because I thought something would happen when I was sleeping but it was okay apart from getting freighted by a siren of some vehicle. I will keep you all posted on how I am doing 👍😊 Huge thank you to Krista and her friend Martin for helping me settle in with all of my bags and food shopping (They call it groceries in America) as I would have not done this without you! 😊 When we stopped by the apartment I could not believe that I have got the most beautiful cathedral right across from me on the corner.
