Day 9, 10 & 11: Taking Time to Myself

 Those last few days, I have been taking some time for myself and started working on the 3D Design project for Mount Clare House.

It took me a while to get my thinking around the plans because I was told that the plans were wrong by the architects and I had to make sure they would be correct before sending them to Lucy and Kritsa.

As you can see that the plans are not accurate at all! I had to research the online website of Mount Clare, the book and my images to see if everything is in place?!


As well as using old historic photos and drawings of Mount Clare



So I have been doing this for three days because I wanted to get started on the first designs out of 5 different building layouts.

On Day 11, it was again another one of my favourite days where I got to work with all the details of the house to put it all into this program...

Today, I have also contacted my family friend here in Baltimore to arrange a time where I will be staying with her for a few nights. I'm staying over for 3 nights from the 27th till the 30th. I cannot wait to see her as I've always wanted to meet her since I was a little girl!

I can't wait to see where she is going to be taking me on my mini holiday with her! :)

P.S, At night, before going to bed, I decided to do some knitting as it's therapeutic to me over here in the USA, I have reached my final yarn- now need to buy more. But this is what I have made so far...

Travelling DaY

On 11th August, I left the UK for the biggest trip of my life to the USA - this is a huge step in my life because this time I am travelling on my own for two and half months. I know that I had to do this by myself someday and it's here! I arrived at Edinburgh Airport (EDI) at 10:30am, checked my suitcase and said 'See you later' to my amazing parents who made me cry at the airport! Thanks, Mum! Made it back home!

Made It Home!!! I am officially back home with my family, all unpacked - it was like the living room exploded with all of my things. But wanna laugh... my suitcase was full of books instead of bringing clothes home! I was so emotional when I got home as I wanted to be home after a couple of days of being at multiple airports. So lovely to be back in my own bed too! Even had a quiet, shy reaction from my dog as she wasn't sure who I was until I spoke to her again!

Day 5: Finally Settled In!

Had my first night sleeping in my permanent apartment - the apartment is very nice, cosy and clean. First-night sleeping was a little bit scary as I'd come out of a home where I usually stay with someone - This time I was so scared because I thought something would happen when I was sleeping but it was okay apart from getting freighted by a siren of some vehicle. I will keep you all posted on how I am doing 👍😊 Huge thank you to Krista and her friend Martin for helping me settle in with all of my bags and food shopping (They call it groceries in America) as I would have not done this without you! 😊 When we stopped by the apartment I could not believe that I have got the most beautiful cathedral right across from me on the corner.
